Federal Transit Administration: Tribal Transit Programs Awardees Announced
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the selection of projects to be funded under Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 appropriations for the Public Transportation on Indian Reservations Program; Tribal Transit Program (TTP), a program authorized by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).

The National Resource Center for Human Service Transportation Coordination PASS Toolkit
Transit passes are a simple and effective way for human service agencies and public transit providers to work together to get people where they need to go. You are entering a virtual toolkit that will help explain ways that transit pass partnerships can work for you and your community partners.
This toolkit is designed to help human services agencies and public transit providers work together to assure affordable customer access and mobility. Transit passes are a strategy that can help these be the proverbial "win-win" partnership.

CTAA Staff Meet with President-elect Obama's Transportation Transition Team
Community Transportation Association Executive Director Dale J. Marsico, CCTM, and Communications Director Scott Bogren, along with representatives of the American Public Transportation Association, recently met with the Transportation Transition Team, tasked by President-elect Obama to develop recommendations for his administration's transportation policy. CTAA and APTA presented a joint set of recommendations to the group.

United We Ride State-Tribal Mobility Management Coordination Grants
This notice solicits proposals from States and tribal associations or consortia for United We Ride (UWR) mobility management grants. This solicitation is issued by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) on behalf of the Federal Interagency Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility (CCAM). Funding in the amount of $1.5 million is provided by FTA to support grants ranging up to $300,000 each.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has completed the competitive selection process for the National Rural Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP), which will be implemented through a five-year cooperative agreement. FTA is pleased to announce that the Neponset Valley Transportation Management Association (NVTMA), located in Waltham, Massachusetts, has been selected to administer the National RTAP. The NVTMA’s mission is to provide critical transportation services that will enhance economic vitality and improve public transportation in rural and urban areas.

The National Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP) is pleased to announce the release of the new National RTAP website. The new site, www.nationalrtap.org, boasts a new look for RTAP as well as updated and simplified format and layout. Electronic copies of RTAP materials and video clips from training modules can also be found. The new site also includes information and resources for rural and tribal transit providers and state RTAPs, updates and news items from National RTAP, and much more!
